The Gospel of Thomas is one of the many enlightening and mysterious texts found in the treasure trove of Nag Hammadi when that sanctuary was rediscovered in 1947. It contains what are believed by many christian scholars and theologians to be the hint of Jesus's hidden or esoteric, inner-circle teachings, those sayins,parables and instructions deemed too mysterious to be publicly preached and reserved instead for those disciples who wished to delve further into Christ's enigmatic philosophy.
