First conceived in the early 1890s, the Vahan was intended to serve as a newsletter and periodical that would disseminate Theosophical Light to the Members of the British Section of the Theosophical Society. First edited by H.P. Blavatsky herself these duties fell to Bro. G.R.S. Mead upon her death. A repository not only of late Victorian esotericism, The Vahan provides an invaluable look into the philosophical and ideological beginnings of the Theosophical Society and the thought of its members, who still have so much to teach us today.
